Talking about the advantages of iron powder core for inductor core

Common inductive cores are mainly manganese-zinc ferrite cores, nickel-zinc ferrite cores, ferrite cores, iron powder cores, and the like. So what are the advantages of using an iron core for an inductive core?

The iron powder core in the inductor core is a common saying of the core material ferroferric oxide. The main component is iron oxide. The price is relatively low. The saturation magnetic induction is about 1.4T: the permeability ranges from 22-100, the initial permeability. The rate ui value has good stability with frequency variation, and the DC current superposition performance is good, but the consumption is high at high frequencies.

The iron powder core in such an inductive core is inexpensive, and if the sensitivity is not high, the material is preferred. According to the size and IDC requirements, the required materials can be selected. The 8 materials have the best current resistance, the 26 materials are the worst, and the 18 materials are in between, but the AL value of the 8 materials is very low. Iron powder core materials are generally used to make inductors with small inductance and high current resistance.

This kind of material is not only used to make ring-shaped normal inductance (such as magnetic ring inductance), but also used to make toroidal transformer. This kind of material is easily magnetized by external magnetic field, and the L value of finished product will be 3~5% after external magnetization.
