What is the difference between ceramic and ferrite cores for inductor cores?


The main reason is that ceramics and ferrites do not belong to a class of materials at all;

Ceramics are not magnetic, and ferrite is a magnetic material;

The resonant frequency of ceramic materials is higher than that of ferrite, but the inductance of ceramics is not as large as that of ferrite.
