What is wave soldering, what about wave soldering?

Wave soldering is an electronic component soldering process. When soldering, the PCB board pad is directly in contact with the high temperature tin bar, and the wave soldering texture is named after the solder joint.

What is virtual welding?

As a new welding process, wave soldering is caused by improper operation in the production process. Wave soldering is a common type of wave soldering circuit board line fault, which is in the production process due to wave soldering production process. Improperly caused, it is often manifested in the unstable state of time pass and time pass. The virtual weld can be directly observed through the eye and then judged. If it is found that the original pin is obviously not connected to the pad, this is called virtual welding.

Causes and solutions for wave soldering

Reasons for solder joints of circuit boards after wave soldering

1. The pads of the inductive soldering ends, pins, and printed circuit board are oxidized or contaminated, or the PCB pads are damp.

2. The inductive terminal metal electrode has poor adhesion or uses a single layer electrode to cause a capping phenomenon at the soldering temperature.

3. When the PCB pad design is unreasonable, the shadow effect causes wave soldering during wave soldering.

4. The PCB pad is warped, causing poor contact between the PCB pad lift position and the wave soldering.

5. The sides of the belt are not parallel (especially when using a PCB pad carrier), so that the PCB pads are not parallel to the peak contact.

6. The peaks are not smooth, and the heights on both sides of the peaks are not parallel. In particular, the tin-wave nozzles of the electromagnetic pump wave soldering machine, if blocked by oxides, will cause the peaks to appear zigzag, which is likely to cause leakage welding and cold welding.

7. Flux activity is poor, resulting in poor wetting. The preheating temperature of the HPCB is too high, causing the flux to carbonize and lose activity, resulting in poor wetting.

8. Set the proper preheat temperature.
